About Dr. Kiefer

Dr. Kiefer is a double board-certified physician specializing in Interventional Chronic Pain Medicine. He has extensive experience and training at some of the most prestigious medical institutions in the country, and focuses on the clinical care of patients suffering with chronic pain through a balanced, multidisciplinary approach.  

 

He attended medical school at Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University and completed his residency training in Anesthesiology and Perioperative Care at Georgetown University Hospital. Following residency, he completed fellowship training in Chronic Pain Medicine at the world-reknown Massachusetts General Hospital, the largest teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. He holds licenses in Maryland, Washington, DC, Virginia, and Massachusetts.

He has expertise in acute and chronic pain evaluation and diagnosis, medication management, responsible opioid management, treatment of chronic pain patients with addiction, fluoroscopic- and ultrasound-guided interventional techniques (including vertebral augmentation) and advanced implantable therapies (spinal cord stimulators and intrathecal pumps).
